Sweet and Simple: Strawberry Pie®

What You Will Need:

  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 quart of fresh strawberries
  • 1 pie crust
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of heavy whipped cream

Directions:

  •  Arrange half of the strawberries in a baked pastry shell. Mash all the strawberries and add the white sugar in a saucepan. Place the saucepan on the stove and put the temperature at medium and then bring it to boil but make sure you stir frequently.
  • In a separate bowl, using a whisk, mix the cornstarch and the water. Gradually stir what is in that bowl into the saucepan. Reduce the heat until the mixture is thick and make sure to keep stirring. Pour the mixture into the pie crust that already has other strawberries in it and let it chill for several hours in the refrigerator. When chilled, then after serve your strawberry pie which some whipped cream on top and enjoy!
