The Igeneration is the name for kids born with exposure to technology and the internet. Children born into an age where technology developed rapidly and became more affordable. They are seen as lazy, disconnected, uninterested, and easily distracted. However they see themselves as loyal, compassionate, thoughtful, open-minded, responsible, and determined. However there are truths on both sides, benefits to being in the generation and hindrances. Starting with the hindrance there is a stigma that being attached to the internet is like using a crutch to get through life. Without their crutch the iGeneration would fall on its face. This can but the internet and technology can be used to teach people skills that will help them succeed later in life. Another problem is the iGeneration is seen as antisocial and introverted. I believe for the most part this is true, many people in the iGen interact with each other through social media. The need for face to face talking is obsolete when you can talk to them through your phone. With these down sides there are many up sides that come with the iGen. Many technological advances can come from the iGen, possibly curing many ailments that continue to plague people. I suppose we will have to wait and see.
