There has been a big announcement at Tewksbury Memorial High School (TMHS) in regards to the girlś varsity lacrosse team. Former player and assistant coach, Erin Murphy (Coach Murph), has been appointed as the girlś head lacrosse coach for the 2019 season. In 2009, Coach Murph was a member of the league championship winning team, and also served as a part of the best record in program history team.

Coach Murph was appointed head coach of the girl’s lacrosse team just a weeks ago, replacing former head coach Rachel McLaren. Coach McLaren only served as the head coach for one season, with Coach Murph as her assistant. In the past five seasons, the girl’s lacrosse team has had four different head coaches. However, Coach Murph plans on being here for a while. She hopes to bring stability to the program along with a winning record.

In 2016, Coach Murph also became a history teacher at TMHS. She, since then, has become a part of not only the lacrosse coaching staff, but also part of the volleyball coaching staff as well. Overall, Murphy is thrilled about becoming the new head coach. She has been involved in the lacrosse program for many years, and it finally at the top.
