Student of the Week: Samantha Regan

Samantha Regan is a current senior at Tewksbury Memorial High School. Throughout her academic career Samantha has been a gold card recipient, honor roll member, received honorable mention in the AP science fair, and is an active member in National Honor Society. Samantha has a strong work ethic who has worked for the extended day and summer camp staff in Tewksbury, and works as a very reliable babysitter. Samantha is most commonly known for winning the title of class clown for the graduating class of 2019.

How has your senior year been so far?

“Senior year has been great so far. I feel like it has been less stressful school wise, a lot more stressful life wise. Applying for college, scholarships, and figuring out what we want to do with our lives is very difficult.”

Will you be taking part in senior project?

“I will not be taking part in senior project.”

Why not?

“I think that it would be more work for me and I like the schedule for school. If I didn’t have to get up in the morning and go to school, I would just lay in bed all day and do nothing.”

Are you excited to graduate?

“I am very excited to graduate, but at the same time I am a little sad. It will be a lot of change and I will miss my friends. I am very excited to start a new life!”

What are your plans after high school?

“After high school I am going to be attending Rivier University and going to nursing school. Hopefully, I will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree.”

What was your favorite high school memory?

“My favorite high school memory is breaking my ankle. It was awful at the time, but now every time someone brings it up, I cry laugh because I am so clumsy.”

What has been your biggest lesson learned throughout high school?

“My biggest life lesson learned in high school was to not care about what anyone else thinks because everyone is just thinking about themselves.”

Who is your biggest role model in life?

“My biggest role model is my mom because even though she has gone through so much in her life, she still does what makes her happy.”

Do you participate in any extracurricular activities either inside or outside of school?

“I participate in student council, Best buddies and Peer leadership. I used to do a lot more but I got lazy as I got more into high school.”

What do you think is your biggest passion in life?

“My biggest passion is to make other people happy as well as myself. I think as long as the people around me are happy then I will be happy.”
