On July 31st, beloved actor, 25 year old Angus Cloud, who had previously starred in the hit show “Euphoria”, passed away in his own family home in Oakland, California. Cloud was found dead due to the ingestion of large amounts of alcohol and an accidental overdose of drugs. Cloud had recently been struggling with the passing of his father the previous week before. Cloud’s mother revealed that his overdose was not on purpose, and Cloud had been eager to help out his family the day of his passing.

It was also revealed that Cloud had been very open about his struggles with mental health. In the time of his passing many depressant drugs had been found in his system, including cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and benzodiazepines. These drugs are often used to treat certain disorders such as seizures, insomnia, and anxiety. Cloud’s mother had stated that he had wished her goodnight saying that he would “see her in the morning”, therefore leaving her to believe he had no intention of not waking up the next morning.

Cloud’s death was a major struggle for many “Euphoria” fans and actors. Many of Cloud’s family and friends had shared their grief over his death throughout social media. Many of his co-stars, including Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Javon Walton, Hunter Schafer, along with many others posted very heartfelt messages about their beloved friend. His fellow co-stars also include much condolences to Cloud’s family.

Zendaya writes “I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh.” Along with her sorrow towards Cloud’s family, Zendaya includes “My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.” Apatow also shares a heartfelt post saying “words can’t really capture how magical of a person he was. My heart is broken.”

Cloud had lots of love sent out towards him and his family after his passing. According to all of his family and friends, Cloud was truly such a bright soul, and his loss broke so many hearts. His fight for mental health had truly been an inspiring journey, along with his work on “Euphoria”. The internet continues to mourn the beloved actor.
