A brand new Red Cross Club, Created by Miah Cummings, Natalie Veloz, Ashley Cronin, and Lauren Whelton is an exciting club that TMHS offers. The club is organized to help give back to the community through different kinds of fundraised events and acts of service. So far 57 students have signed up for the club, and many kids enjoy coming to every meeting looking to better their community. We interviewed the Club adviser Ms. Galusha and the president of the club Miah Cummings.

Ms Galusha

“I like being involved in community service driven club, also the students running it are some of the best. Getting started is always difficult, the officers want to do everything at once but we need to be patient. Next year should be smooth. Having a good amount of kids is good and it’s good to get people involved in community service. My goal is to help students reach their own goals.”

Miah

“I always have wanted to start a club and eventually give back to the community. I wanted a leadership position and be able to create a positive impact on the community. The amount of people coming together and working towards a common goal is the part of the club I enjoy the most. Organization and keeping people together can be an issue, holding people’s interest and approval of fundraisers can be hard but we all work together to make the best of what we can do. Making other people happy is the ultimate goal.
